Rules are meant to be broken.

Maybe this time we should break the rule, because, well, we only live once, and why miss an opportunity that could change our lives? Wouldn't this change our lives? For sure.

In Rick’s (Mueller) office, tensions rise to the breaking point between himself and his new employee, Julie (Gilbride).

Restrained by the rules of the office and society, and their own past experiences, they struggle to reach each other through the expectations and restrictions of the sterile stage of the American workplace.

The play fluidly changes from reality to their own inner worlds, letting the audience into their secret desires, and guarded pasts.
